What a night this was, absolutely fantastic, Lizz Wright at Praga Centrum in Warsaw.
Lizz has an incredible voice and a wonderful band, and the crowd were treated to Coming Home; Hit the Ground; Grace; Old Man (Neil Young classic) etc.
Forty minutes before the gig, I turned up at the Teatr Roma in central Warsaw to be informed that the show had been switched to Praga Centrum across the river in the city.
Fortunately, I know my way around Warsaw quite well and 30 minutes later, after two quick metro rides, I was at Praga Centrum.
When Lizz came on stage, she joked that she'd been expecting to sing in a beautiful theatre but still the Praga Centrum room "had its own kind of vibe". This was a great way of seeing things, of course.
A few good or unusual things about Praga Centrum: you can take shots from the side of the stage while visiting the toilets:
The toilets are kind of unique:
And you can get a very good (albeit expensive) Pilsner beer there:
Overall, it was an honour to see Lizz Wright and her great band.
