Leaving the Klub Niebo

People leaving the Klub Niebo in Warsaw after the Sóley concert there earlier this month:

The Sóley concert had a subtle beauty to it, exquisite at times.

A nice balance of older tunes like Pretty Face and newer songs like Circles.

Before the Niebo gig, the last time I'd seen Sóley was 10-15 years ago at the Basen in Warsaw.

Discovered Sóley through a KEXP session on YouTube.

The Seattle-based KEXP have introduced me to quite a lot of interesting music over the years.

Jazz in the Park

While out on my Sunday afternoon stroll a couple of weeks back,

I came across some great Jazz music in a park.

It was a nice a surprise, the icing on the cake for my walk.

Spring into Summer

Spring being nicely transformed into summer at the moment, in Warsaw.

It's just a good time to go walking around.

Nicely taking in 20-25 degrees, and some interesting-looking wall murals:

Big and small:

This street art really does help to brighten the place up, working in tandem with the now blooming flowers:

Always like to pop in a Vietnamese place during my walks:

As much for Vietnamese green tea as anything else.

This is an uplifting time of year.

Corpus Christi Procession 2024

While walking back from the Old Latin Mass on Corpus Christi, in Warsaw, I saw a procession passing by:

It didn't seem as big as the one from last year but still, it was good to see.

After passing the Corpus Christi procession, I came across the various altar points where the procession had already stopped at:

The one below stood outside a big red-brick, Gothic church:

Of course, it was good that the weather was okay for the procession.

The shape of the building above always catches my eye.

Pope John Paul II Statue

We came across this statue of Pope John Paul II in the grounds of Zamość Cathedral.

A commemoration to victims of German atrocities during the 2nd World War:

Just inside the entrance to the Cathedral:
