Here are another few pictures of my Easter visit to Vienna, showing the miserable continuation of winter covering the Hapsburg Schonbrunn Palace:
Couldn't really believe it, I came to Vienna from Warsaw expecting the weather to be a bit better here, but Easter Sunday afternoon, I was greeted by a grinding sleet which gradually got worse. Moreover, some parts of the Schonbrunn Palace Gardens were already covered in snow, although this gave the place a rather interesting atmosphere.
Loved this little building at the top of the hill, looking down afar on the Palace opposite. Here, a few groups of mainly Italian 'holidaymakers' were seeking sanctuary from the cold outside with a nice hot cup of coffee and piece of cake:
Would like to see Schonbrunn Palace in summer, as you could quite easily spend a whole day there looking around, but I guess that I'm one of a reserved few who have visited the place in more spartan conditions.
