An Ecuadorian Red Banana


Until last week, I'd never heard of nor seen an Ecuadorian red banana.  Now, from experience, I can say that it's important to eat one of these fully ripe, as it can feel like you're being choked if it's underripe.  However, if it's fully soft and ripe, it's delicious with a kind of nutty flavour.
