Absolutely loved every minute of the Clannad set on their farewell tour, two to three hours literally flew by in a flash.
Especially love the Gaelic songs (Dúlamán, Coinleach Ghlas an Fhómhair, Theme from Harry's Game etc.) as without usually knowing what's being said, you can still feel the powerful emotion and feel kind of pushed to guess the general meaning of the tunes (I did try learning Irish Gaelic at a very basic level a few years ago, it's a truly beautiful language, of course).
And ever since seeing Clannad for the first time at Manchester Apollo in about 1987, "Teidhir Abhaile Riú"has been my favourite encore song by any band, it's just the perfect foot-stomping, concert-finishing song.
Hopefully, this won't be the last time I see this truly great band, as I plan to catch them for a final time at a summer music festival in England.
