Alghero (Sardinia): Old Town Streets

Like many towns or cities in Southern Europe, Alghero Old Town seemed a bit like a labyrinthe of narrow streets:

 

Occasionally, the streets widened out a bit:

Bosa (Sardinia): Zooming in on the Cathedral

From the other side of the river, we started to see a beautiful church building:

So we crossed over the bridge:

To discover Bosa Cathedral:

Unfortunately, the Cathedral wasn't open when we got there.

Bosa (Sardinia): Mysterious Building on the Riverfront

While walking on the riverfront in Bosa, we saw this incredibly mysterious-looking building across the river:

Oristano (Sardinia): Entering the Old Town

Away from the tourist areas, we thankfully hit the small town of Oristano, with this tower signalling the beginning of the Old Town:

And once inside the Old Town, the steep, narrow streets gave way to an interesting-looking square:

It was not far from sundown:

The place would soon come to life.

Bosa (Sardinia): Another Intriguing Church

Another intriguing-looking church in Bosa, unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to go and have a look at it.

At one point, we passed near the castle:

Had to enter this beautiful-looking church with an old clockface in Bosa:

Inside, we were greeted by side altars:

And easily visible Stations of the Cross:

Really like the way such small Catholic churches offer peace, solitude and reflective process on a hot summer's day:

And coming outside again, I had to get a closer look at the wonderful clockface, plus the bell above it:
