Bratislava: Revisiting the Bernard Beer Pub

Visited this incredible pub (on the way down to the Old Town from the train station) the last time I was in Bratislava in 2014.

Thus, given the fact that this pub has all kinds of Bernard beer on tap, I was always going to visit it last week when I was in Bratislava again:

This is a 5% Bernard beer below:  a beautiful brew with lager colour and texture and a profound bitter taste:

Bratislava: Walking by the Riverside

Nice little, early morning walk I did next to the river in Bratislava last week, looking across the river at the aptly named 'UFO Landing' and upwards in the opposite direction at the Castle:

Also passed some interesting-looking monuments:

And what looked like a possibly homeless guy:

The road was busy so I didn't get a closer look at the small church below:

And then I turned round, started walking back, and found myself looking at the 'UFO Landing' from a distance again:

Warsaw: Girl Dancing to Peruvian Buskers

Hadn't seen any Peruvian buskers in Warsaw for a few years so it was great to catch this scene of a (probably Polish) girl dancing along to some Peruvian buskers in the city centre recently.

Bratislava: Passing a Slovak Restaurant

Passed this Slovak restaurant in the Old Town.  The food looked appetising but we didn't go inside:

Bratislava: Fried Cheese and Chips

May not be the healthiest food in the world, but I thoroughly enjoyed this fried cheese and chips in Bratislava.

Neal Morse Band Live at Warsaw Progresja 28th March 2017

The night before going away for a couple of days to Bratislava, I caught the Neal Morse Band at Warsaw Progresja:

Turned out to be an honour to watch 'The Similitude of a Dream' done live.

In particular, I still have 'City of Destruction' running through my head.

Went to this gig a little out of curiosity but thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Was always going to appreciate the religious/spiritual overtones of 'The Similitude of a Dream'.
