Thanks to the late great John Peel, I was introduced to Low in about 1995-1997. I was then in Poland, 1997-1999, but, once again, listened to a lot of Low on the Peel Show between 1999-2002.
I have seen quite a few of the bands on your profile Pat. Don't suppose I will ever see Kansas though sadly. Blue Oyster Cult is one of my favourite concerts along with the Pixies and All about Eve at Glastonbury in 1989.
Hi Dave, yeah, Kansas seem to just fly over Britain and Ireland, and straight into Germany, where they're still big. When I saw them in Berlin in 2004, they did play a gig in London, but this was a bit of an isolated miracle.
Do you think You Tube is making bands tour Pat? I don't seem to purchase many CD's these days and I honestly can't see how the American/Canadian bands make any money. Saying that though. Should musicians play because they want to or just for money. What's the best band you have seen who never made it big? I would probably say: Magnum.
