Let's have a break from Greece, shall we? This is Złaty Bażanty, a really fine Slovakian brew. Like many Slovakian beers, it has the texture of a lager, and the taste of a bitter (the perfect beer). Perła and Lomża in Poland are similar, but whereas these are 6.2% and 5.8% respectively, Złaty Bażanty is a safer 5%. It goes without saying that all three beers are well worth a try.
The Slovakian lager/bitter looks and sounds amazing Pat. What's the measurement on top of the glass: 0.5 ? Is that half a litre? How much would you pay for a drink in Poland?
ReplyDeleteIt depends Dave, the irony is that the better, more organic beer is much cheaper than the chemical stuff. The good stuff is about 50p a can, whereas the chemical stuff is about 60-75p a can depending on where you buy it.
ReplyDeleteHowever, on draft in Warsaw, you could be paying 1 to 4 pound for half a litre. Don't worry Dave, at my favourite Vietnamese eating place, it's only about one pound twenty. The Vietnamese at Que Huong are truly great lads! Remember that Que Huong is on the internet
