Szczebreszyn (Poland): The Crucifix
This picture of a crucifix in somebody's garden was taken by my wife in the small town of Szczebreszyn in eastern Poland.
For me, this crucifix symbolises the survival of traditional Catholic culture in small Polish towns and villages, especially in the eastern and southern parts of the country. This is no mean achievement given that the European Union's politically-'correct' agenda is now continually aiming at savaging traditional Catholic culture in Poland, especially in the larger cities. The only good thing to come out of this is that more and more (including younger) Poles are beginning to recognise this cynical agenda, and are now referring to Brussels as the 'New Moscow'.
