Been on a nice roll with the Prog music recently with the Loreley 'Night of the Prog' festival in Germany; 'Prog in the Park' festival in Warsaw; and then last night, The Pineapple Thief at Warsaw Progresja.
Saw The Pineapple Thief some years ago supporting Riverside on the latter's 10th anniversary tour at Warsaw Stodola, and it was nice to catch up with them again last night.
Decided to go and see The Pineapple Thief after checking out and really liking their recent album, 'Your Wilderness'.
Was really happy the band did 'Fend for Yourself', my favourite tune from 'Your Wilderness'. Think the band have a special talent for more mellow tunes.
Was nice that my old schoolmate from Bury, Lancashire from years ago, Mick, was visiting me in Warsaw and was able to take in The Pineapple Thief gig too:
In between the support band and The Pineapple Thief, I was happy to have a nice Czech beer on draught.
And a nice surprise, we got talking to the guy below who turned out to be one of the members of Lion Shepherd who I'd seen at the Warsaw 'Night of the Prog' festival a couple of weeks before:
