Bury (Lancashire): Revisiting Ainsworth Parish Church
While out on a long walk in summer 2016, I got a quick glimpse of Ainsworth Parish Church, and managed to get a longer view of this wonderful building this summer.
As the noticeboard above says, the Parish Church of Christ in Cockey (Ainsworth) seems to date back to 1515.
While looking at the church this time round, one of my friends, John commented that he'd driven past it many times without realising just what a beautiful building it is:
Think that Bury has some stunning-looking Anglican churches especially on the outskirts of the town (Edenfield and Radcliffe in particular).
