Have passed through Lower Bockhampton quite a few times, but this was the first time, I managed to get some decent shots of the thatched cottage before the bridge leading out of the village.
If my memory serves me right, this thatched cottage is the model for the pub in Thomas Hardy's 'Under the Greenwood Tree'.
And just before the bridge leading out of Lower Bockhampton, there is the path that Hardy used to love treading down towards Dorchester:
