Passing through Sturry


We passed through Sturry on route to Fordwich and were immediately impressed by the village church:


Have just sought information about the church on the internet and it seems to be St. Nicholas' Anglican & Methodist joint church. Also found out that the church building dates back to Norman times.

However, the building that really interested us was the one below:


We guessed that it might be a tithebarn, but, of course, we could be wrong.

We were more confident that the building below must've once been an oast house:


Heading down towards Fordwich, my friend was in awe over the brickwork leading up to the chimney below:


While I stood in admiration of the house below:
