Passing through Bristol Train Station

Couldn't help but be impressed with Bristol train station, it looked majestic:

At the entrance, it also had an interesting story to tell about Miss Emma Saunders:

Have just discovered from the internet that Emma Saunders was a Victorian woman who offered religion and charity to the railwaymen, being held in genuine affection by them.

Also discovered that Emma was born in Manchester in the mid-19th century before moving with her family to Bristol where in the late 1870s, she started a Bible class for railwaymen (the start of her mission).  Emma Saunders' full story is on the internet and well worth a read.
