I was stuck in Papertown (Bury) for five months last year, but at least I caught the 'Rammy' Festival on the (Folk) Sunday. I thought it was going to be just a plod-a-long day leading up to The Waterboys, but was I wrong. I'm just glad I arrived really early, and caught The Once. Old Leonard Cohen songs, old fishing songs from their native Newfoundland, this band was fantastic. I love it when I come across such sublimity by chance. If you've never heard of The Once, make sure you check them out on Youtube, you won't be disappointed.
