Arrived at Avila train station at 5pm on Sunday 28th February 2016 which gave me more or less three hours to quickly look at Avila before catching the train back to Madrid at 8pm.
The train journey to Avila was amazing as the train burrowed through a snow storm high up in the hills/mountains:
Was a miracle that I got to Avila this day, as I literally bought my return ticket at Madrid Chantmartin (North) train station just a few minutes before the last train of the day to Avila set off. Before this, I had also been sent to the wrong place (a northern metro station in Madrid) to catch this train.
