Avila (Spain): Visiting the Convent of San Jose


Thankfully, right from Avila train station, there were signs indicating the way to the Convent of San Jose (famous for St. Teresa of Avila and the discalced Carmelite reform).

At San Jose Convent, there was a church:




And just to the left of the church, there was a room where relics from St. Teresa of Avila's life could be observed but not photographed:

Below, we're in the church at San Jose which, despite not dating back to St. Teresa of Avila, still has a profoundly peaceful atmosphere:
