Bury (Lancashire): Edenfield Parish Church

A long, long way from the hustle and bustle of Bury town centre, situated at the entrance to the Rossendale valley, stands the beauty and tranquility of Edenfield Parish Church which is surrounded by a big graveyard:

Have just discovered on the Internet that the church mainly dates from 1778; a chantry chapel existed on the site in the 13th century; and that the oldest part of the present church is the 16th century tower:

Have also just read that Edenfield Parish Church is one of a small number of Anglican churches with no known dedication (to a saint).

Was also well impressed with the beauty and tranquility of Edenfield in general, it just had a nice, old-worldly feel, a world apart from the hustle and bustle of Bury town centre.
