Vegetable Soup Experiments

As we're hopfully approaching the end of winter, I'm still experimenting with vegetable soup.

The soup above was thickened with rice and a bit of vindaloo curry paste was added to give it a kick.

In contrast, the soup below was thickened with a beetroot cutlet and millet and looks a lot less plain:

To make a full meal, I like to make cheese sandwiches to dip into the soup.

Plus, when the soup has dried up, I put cottage cheese on top to help polish off the remaining 

vegetables.

It has recently had a side entrance built which actually looks quite good.

Great Computer Keyboard Mat

A small shot of the wonderful mat that lies underneath both my computer and accompanying keyboard.

The mat is full of nice shots of different small birds and butterflies. 

My Latest Vegetable Soup

My latest vegetable soup with broccoli; carrots; potatoes; sweet potatoes; and onions.

I sometimes make a thicker version of this through adding millet.

The Black Angels - Warsaw Niebo (10-02-23)

Thoroughly enjoyed The Black Angels show at the Klub Niebo in Warsaw last Friday, it was a great audio-visual event.

The band did a great set, including El Jardin; Manipulation; Black Grease etc.

My favourite tune of the night was The River, it blew me away, the kind of spaghetti western meets psychedelia sound (sublime).

Face from the Flame

An incredible, kind of face from the flame mural that I encountered in a subway while walking back from the Towar to Metro Politechnika last Sunday evening.

Dream Theater - Warsaw Torwar (29-01-23)

Finally got round to seeing Dream Theater on Sunday evening. 

Have kind of heard them in passing for many years, but have only given them a focused listen over the past few months.

At the Torwar on Sunday evening, the sound wasn't perfect, especially where I was sitting in the stalls at the back of the hall, but I still enjoyed the audio-visual show.

Not sure if I can trust my hearing as I'm almost deaf in one ear, but the sound seemed to get better in the second half of the show, especially from Pull Me Under onwards.

And the two concluding, 20-minute epics, A View From the Top of the World and The Count of Tuscany went by in a flash.
