Dave's Stone Mushrooms
Not far outside Shaftesbury, on a country road heading towards our campsite, my travelling companion, Dave, told me about the original purpose of the stone mushroom garden ornaments pictured above.
He excitedly revealed that the staddle stones, as they were originally known, were originally designed and used to support agricultural buildings such as granaries through raising them a couple of feet off the ground to prevent both rats and water from ever reaching the (food) stores. My friend, Dave, is full of all this kind of countryside information.
Below, there is a picturesque house that we saw on the way to the campsite.
And the picture below is of St. James church just coming into sight, once we saw St. James (while walking out of Shaftesbury), we knew which route to take to the campsite:
Wimborne: Passing an Unusual Building
When we saw the slightly unusual building above, we weren't that surprised to find out that it was a masonic hall:
It was tucked away in a kind of alcove/side-street with several other interesting-looking buildings for company:

Shaftesbury: Passing a Polish Shop
Passing a Polish shop (Polski sklep) while making our way towards the centre of Shaftesbury one day.
Jazzpospolita Live at Warsaw Progresja 15th September 2018
Really glad I managed to get up to the Progresja in time to catch Jazzpospolita, the opening act for Jazzanova on Saturday night:
Like Jazzanova, I discovered Jazzpospolita not that long ago, and I'm glad I did so.
Really like Jazzpospolita's kind of blend of Jazz and post-Rock, 'Lot' was my favourite tune Saturday night.

Jazzanova Live at Warsaw Progresja 15th September 2018
Had a decent enough weekend, the highlight of which was seeing Jazzanova at Warsaw Progresja.
Only recently introduced to Jazzanova, immediately liked what I heard (a kind of beautiful mix of Jazz Funk and Trip-Hop).
Favourite tunes of the night were 'Follow Your Feet' and 'Flash Back' (listening to Paul Randolph's soulful voice live was amazing).
All the musicians taking a well-earned round of applause after a thoroughly enjoyable, two-hour set:

Shaftesbury: Passing Edwardstow
While walking to and fro between the campsite and Shaftesbury, we also passed Edwardstow:
Have just read that Edwardstow is Shaftesbury's oldest surviving building, having been built somewhere between 1400 and 1539.
