This was the first time I'd visited Guardian Angels Catholic church in the Elton district of Bury (Lancashire).
The Mass was what I would describe as a Kumbaya Folk Service with lots of flute and recorder, a far cry from when the legendary Father Chew had continued to offer the Old Latin (Tridentine) Mass at Guardian Angels long after the end of the Second Vatican Council.
But still, by visiting Guardian Angels, I managed to see another of the Catholic churches that remain in my hometown of Bury (Lancashire).
Moreover, I was there to pray for the repose of a recently departed soul who had attended Mass at Guardian Angels during childhood.
