Liskeard: A Quick Morning Visit

The day before the Kernowfornia Festival in Looe, I decided to take a morning visit to Liskeard, and was greeted by a big Methodist church while walking up from the train station to the town centre:
 
 
After this, I soon came upon Wetherspoons, my destination for a vegetarian pizza and pint of Doom Bar:

The Liskeard Wetherspoons had an upstairs terrace where people could eat in the fresh air:


 Liskeard, itself, seemed to be a market town that had seen busier days:


 With the Parish Church of St. Martin being very impressive:


Both inside and outside:


Have just read that the church includes some Norman parts but most of the building dates back to the 15th century, with an organ being initially installed in 1844.

The surrounding graveyard seemed to also function as a nature reserve: 


 And I was lucky enough to catch sight of a beautiful butterfly on a gravestone:


 As it should be, the surrounding graveyard was a peaceful and serene place:
