Shaftesbury really is an amazing place, we camped a couple of miles outside the town, and passed St. James' church every day walking into and out of Shaftesbury:
Have just read that St. James' parish lies about 700 feet beneath Shaftesbury town centre, and is the oldest part of the town.
Have also just seen on the internet that St. James' church is incredibly beautiful, what a pity we didn't get to have a look inside.
