Constanta (Romania): Heading towards the Seafront


Heading towards the Constanta seafront, we passed the Eastern Orthodox monk (above).


And then a statue dedicated to Carmen Sylva (below):


From the statue itself, I soon gathered that she had been a poet.  And now from the Internet, I've just discovered that she was also a queen consort as the wife of King Carol I of Romania.
