Despite Chris Thompson's voice not quite being what it used to be, like many others in the audience, I was always going to enjoy the great Manfred Mann numbers from the mid-1970s.
And so it turned out: it was great listening to tunes I'd first heard during my pre-teenage years ('Davy's on the Road Again'; 'Blinded by the Light'; 'For You'; 'Spirits in the Night' etc. - until recently, I'd not known that some of these had been written by Bruce Springsteen).
Was also really impressed with the band and female singer (all Norwegians) that Chris Thompson had:
