A few months ago, I hadn't heard of Skillet, but when I saw that they were playing Warsaw Stodoła in late October, I gave them a spin and found them positively melodic so I'll now be going watching them.
Despite not being a 'born-again Christian' myself (I prefer what I refer to as the pre-Vatican II Catholic/Eastern Orthodox axis of Christianity), I find the born-again Christian/Pentecostal element to Skillet's music refreshing, mainly because it seems to stick two well-aimed fingers up at the vile political 'correctness' that currently afflicts Western civilisation. For this reason, my favourite tune would have to be 'Awake and Alive' (above).
