Just back from watching Archive at Warsaw Stodoła: good concert, but way too packed for my liking, and really hope that Marillion isn't as packed tomorrow. I'll report on the Archive gig some time after I've seen Marillion tomorrow.
So why am I writing a little post now then? Well, because I'm very happy with a mobile phone picture that I got of the Warsaw Stodoła hallway/downstairs bar area tonight.
I know this picture is nothing special, but it just does something for me.
It does have a certain ambience Pat. It could be almost 'Art Decor'. Interesting how paint schemes affect people's psyche?
ReplyDeleteAfter over an hour bathing in sweat, retiring to a hallway with this kind of art and a nice cold glass of beer is almost heavenly, Dave.
ReplyDeleteThink the bar is the best place to be when a concert is packed. If you can hear the band, it's enough.
ReplyDeleteVery wise words, indeed, Dave. I hate packed crowds, it's impossible not to bump into people. Last night, I twice received some abuse, and on each occasion, the idiots received expletives in English in return. Seems a fair transaction to me, Dave.
ReplyDeleteCall me old fashioned Pat. But I hate people with no manners.
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked in that horrible timber yard for a pittance. The one thing the lads and me always noticed was how people treated you. If a person said:
"Please" and "Thank-you."
It was great and you would do anything for them. It doesn't cost anything to say:
"Sorry", "Excuse me", "Please" or "Thank-you,"
Does it Pat?
There's always the Hari Krishna songs if all that fails.
It all depends on who you're dealing with in a split instinctive second, Dave, and sometimes when I receive verbal abuse for (next to) nothing, an expletive just pops out, it's purely instinctive, something to do with self-presevation and honour if I analyse things more deeply.
ReplyDeleteI normally think it rather than say it Pat. You meet ignorant people where ever you go.
ReplyDeleteMore the better for you, Dave, if you can just think it. I can sometimes do this, but not always.
