At the small bus station in Banbury, a man from Manchester kindly informed us that a few fringe festivals were occurring in Cropredy village, including one at the Brasenose Arms above.
The line-up for the Brasenose Arms fringe was quite interesting:
Especially Kaprekar's Constant on Saturday afternoon (we'd never expected such a treat).
Less appealing was the price of the beer:
A sign of the times, I'm afraid, very soon, people won't be able to afford a drink in a pub, with the possible exception of Wetherspoons, of course.
At the back of the Brasenose Arms, an ice-cream van lay in wait, not a bad idea considering the incredibly hot weather.
And beyond the ice-cream van, lay the viewing area for the bands:
And thankfully, on Friday afternoon, we got to see the fantastic Kaprekar's Constant:
More about the Kaprekar's Constant gig in the next blog.
