Near Cropredy: Honey-Coloured Buildings

On the road down to the Cropredy Festival, we passed quite a few honey-coloured buildings:

They were generally tall and steep, presenting a pretty picture not far from sundown.

My friend suggested that such coloured (and possibly shaped) houses were a distinct feature of the Cotswolds:

I'd never realised that Oxfordshire was officially part of the Cotswolds, but it is, along with Warwickshire; Wiltshire; Worcestershire; and of course, Gloucestershire.

Unfortunately, Oxfordshire was as far as we got in the Cotswolds, but I'd visited Wiltshire a few years before, on the way to Dorset (Hardy's Wessex).

The other parts of the Cotswolds would have to wait. Can't wait to visit Gloucestershire one day.
