The icing on the cake of our short visit to the Great Blasket Island was seeing a couple of seal cubs on the beach:
Thankfully, in each case, the seal cubs were breathing and looked okay.
I took the pictures from a distance, zooming in on the seal cubs, as various signs instructed people not to go too near the cubs.
Also, the night before, when the seal colony had been singing their chorus on the beach, loads of rabbits had started skipping about:
Thus, the whole trip to the Great Blasket Island turned out to be a wonderful encounter with nature.
