Shortly after being dropped off at Dunquin, on the Kerry coastline, we headed to the ticket hut.
We booked our passage to the Great Blasket Island.
We headed down to the jetty to await our boat coming in:
Things did look a bit choppy, it must be said:
But my friend (above) and I did climb aboard:
And observed some locals with a lobster catch onshore:
The crossing was short but a bit wild, the boat was jagging from side to side:
Some American tourists just laughed it off:
After some 20 minutes or so, we landed on the Great Blasket Island:
All ready to camp and explore.
