In the Tottington district of Bury (Lancashire), I also came across St. John's Free Anglican church, a truly wonderful building:
Have just found out that the Free Anglican Church split from the rest of the Anglican communion in the mid-19th century, as a Low Church rebellion against the High Church Oxford movement that was somewhat in vogue at the time.
Have also just read that St. John's is somewhat unique for having a graveyard next to the church building, as this is very uncommon in the Free Anglican Church:
Not far away from St. John's, in the centre of Tottington, also stands Tottington Methodist church:
And what looks like a massive, squat church hall next to it:
Kind of curious about how many people attend Totty Methodist church, can remember that in the early to mid-1980s, it was a fairly popular church (I knew some born-again Christians back then).
