After heavy rainfall in the North Lakes, we worked our way down to the South Lakes, and Grasmere in particular:
It was amazing to think that Coleridge would walk all the way from up Keswick way to visit his friend Wordsworth in Grasmere.
Can remember the famous Gingerbread Place below from childhood:
Despite the queue at the Gingerbread Place, Grasmere wasn't too packed with tourists, thank goodness.
